1.    That the scheme to install two pairs of bolt-down speed cushions and associated signage, be implemented as published.

2.    That Officers consult with the resident who had raised objections to the location of the installation of bolt-down speed cushions to minimise the impact of their implementation where practicably possible.

3.    That the Ward member for Dunstable Watling works with Officers to address excessive speeds on other roads in the local area.

That the proposal to introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of road in Leighton Buzzard be implemented via a section 278 agreement:

1.    Grovebury Road, from a point approximately 18 meters south-west of the south-west boundary of Unit 7 Grovebury Road extending in a southerly direction for approximately 294 metres.

Decision:

1.    That the petition be noted.

2.    That advance signage of HGV restrictions at the junction of Norton Road and the A507 be implemented.

3.    That as part of the review of all vehicle activated signs on Central Bedfordshire Councils road network, officers give consideration as to whether additional signage be reasonable on Norton Road.  Subject to compliance with the legal requirements in the 2016 Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions.

4.    That the lead petitioner work with Stotfold Town Council to promote a scheme through a future round of the Rural Match Funding Process to support the deployment of Vehicle Activated Signs on Norton Road.

5.    That the implementation of a controlled crossing on this section of Norton Road is not justifiable based on the evidence provided by Officers.

6.    That the request for Bus stops is relayed and taken forward by the public transport team for consideration.

7.    That Officers discuss with the Police, enforcement of speeds on Norton Road and request that this area is kept under review.

8.    That the lead petitioner be informed of the outcome of this meeting.

Decision:

1.    That the occupiers of 37 Clifton Road are granted two permits to park their vehicles in Stuart Street, Dunstable, until a full area based assessment of the parking in North West Dunstable has taken place.

2.    That when Officers undertaken an area based assessment of the parking demand across North West Dunstable that recommendations are made to this meeting on the number of permits each resident would be eligible to apply for.
