To approve spend on the treatment and disposal of:

1)     residual waste for the interim period between 1 October 2012 and commencement of the Bedfordshire Energy and Recycling (BEaR) Project solution; and

2)     recycling for 5 year contract from 14 January 2013.

Estimated total contract value £4.425m including landfill tax.

That the expenditure for the following two new contracts be approved to continue:

(a)       the treatment and disposal of residual waste; and

(b)       the treatment and disposal of recycling collected by Central Bedfordshire Council.
