Purpose:
To agree to the extension of the current ESF contract and the agreement on the use of the additional funding against each of the proposed activities.
Decision:
1. That the extension of the current ESF programme contract be approved by accepting up to an additional £3m ESF, matched by a further £3m from the Education Funding Agency to support the unemployed and inactive into work or further training.
2. That the use of the additional funding against each of the proposed activities specified in paragraph 29 of the report, be approved.
