Purpose:

In accordance with the process agreed by Executive on 5 February 2013, the Director of Community Services, in consultation with the Deputy Leader and Executive Member Corporate Resources and the Section 151 Officer, resolved to accept the nomination by Sandy Historical Research Group for Sandye Place, Park Road, Sandy to be listed on the Council’s register of assets of community value.

Decision:

The information provided confirmed that the property being nominated met the definition of an asset of community value as set out in Section 88 of the Localism Act 2011:

 

a) an actual current use of the building or other land that is not an ancillary use furthers the social wellbeing or social interests of the local community, and

 

b)it is realistic to think that there can continue to be non-ancillary use of the building or other land which will further (whether or not in the same way) the social wellbeing or social interests of the local community.
