INTERIM CHIEF EXECUTIVE / DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Decision:
That, following consultation with the Deputy
Leader, Corporate Resources Portfolio Holder and Interim Chief
Finance Officer, in accordance with Minute No. SE/07/12 of the
meeting of the Shadow Executive held on 10 June 2008, the following
arrangements be made with respect to the employment of the Interim
Chief Executive and Interim Deputy Chief Executive:-
- the Interim Chief Executive be
confirmed in post until 31 March 2009 but that employment after
that date continue until a permanent appointment to the post of
Chief Executive of Central Bedfordshire Council has been made
following an external recruitment process and the appointee has
taken up the post.
- any termination payments to the
Interim Chief Executive be made in accordance with the redundancy
and retirement policies of Mid Bedfordshire District Council.
- having taken advice from Tribal
Resourcing, a remuneration payment of 29% upon salary be made to
the Interim Chief Executive from 10 April 2008 up until either
permanent appointment into a post in Central Bedfordshire, or
termination of employment with the Council in accordance with the
redundancy and retirement policies of Mid Bedfordshire District
Council.
- the Interim Deputy Chief Executive
be confirmed in post until 31 March 2009 and thereafter from 1
April 2009 until 30 June 2009, be engaged by Central Bedfordshire
Council for the primary purpose of acting as Returning Officer in
accordance with Paragraph 25(3) of The Bedfordshire (Structural
Changes) Order 2008 and to undertake any other duties allocated by
the Interim Chief Executive as required.
- any termination payments to the
Interim Deputy Chief Executive be made in accordance with the
redundancy and retirement policies of South Bedfordshire District
Council.
- having taken advice from Tribal
Resourcing, a remuneration payment of 20.8% upon salary be made to
the Interim Deputy Chief Executive from 10 April 2008 up until 31
March 2009, or termination of employment with the Council in
accordance with the redundancy and retirement policies of South
Bedfordshire District Council.
