RESOLVED
that the minutes of the meeting of the Wixams Joint Development Control Committee held on 27 June 2017 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a correct record subject to the following amendment:
Minute 2 – the addition of a second resolution:
That consideration be given to the arrangements by which the Committee could invite representatives from various bodies to brief Members on planning issues relating to Wixams and answer their queries.

Reserved Matters following Outline approval on planning application MB/99/01694/OUT. The reserved matters are for approval on access, appearance, layout, landscaping and scale on 187 dwellings, associated highways and ancillary works.

The Committee received a report regarding Planning Application No. CB/16/04143/RM for Reserved Matters following Outline approval on planning application MB/99/01694/OUT (CBC) and 99/01695/OUT (BCC). The Reserved Matters was for approval of access, appearance, layout, landscaping and scale for 187 dwellings, associated highways and ancillary works at land off Ampthill Road, Houghton Conquest.
The Central Bedfordshire Council planning officer informed the Committee that, immediately prior to the meeting, it had been established that the ‘red line’ plan submitted by the developer with regard to this application was incorrect. She therefore recommended that consideration of the application be deferred until the Committee’s next meeting. The Bedford Borough Council planning officer concurred with this recommendation and added that the issue would be taken up with Morris Homes as the developer. The Central Bedfordshire Council legal officer also advised against considering the application.
The Chairman acknowledged that in these circumstances it would be unwise to proceed.
RESOLVED
that consideration of Planning Application No. CB/16/04143/RM relating to land off Ampthill Road, Houghton Conquest be deferred until the next meeting of the Wixams Joint Development Control Committee.
