To note the receipt of the petition and to discuss a way forward. Decision: 1. That the petition be noted. 2. That the petition proposal be rejected due to the forthcoming Dunstable Parking Strategy. 3. That if Officers do not have recommendations from the Dunstable Parking Strategy within one meeting cycle that the proposal to implement a ‘resident permits only’ parking restriction scheme in Clifton Road be reconsidered by the Traffic Management Meeting. 4. That Officers ensure that the correct parking enforcement takes place on Clifton Road. 5. That the lead petitioner be notified of the outcome of this meeting.

That the petition proposals to implement parking restrictions from the junction of Dunstable Street/Flitwick Road, Ampthill to Lavender Court Care Home be partially accepted following a Highway Officer review and public consultation. 3. That the Highway Officer review and propose a road marking scheme to include double yellow lines as a minimum to be brought back to a future Traffic Management Meeting. 4. That the lead petitioner be notified of the outcome of this meeting.

That the petition to implement parking restrictions along the length of Brookfields, Potton be partially accepted. 3. That Highway Officers carry out further investigative work to allow appropriate parking restrictions to be installed. 4. That Officers ensure a full public consultation takes place to include the Greensands Medical Practice. 5. That the lead petitioner be notified of the outcome of this meeting.

That the Highways Officer investigate the feasibility of providing a pedestrian crossing across Potton Road, near Edward Peake Middle School and bring back to Traffic Management in two meeting cycles. 3. That in the interim Central Bedfordshire Council continue the recruitment process for a School Patrol Officer. 4. That Edward Peake Middle school submit an updated School Travel Plan to Central Bedfordshire Council to allow further investigation into pedestrian facilities in the area. 5. That the lead petitioner be notified of the outcome of this meeting. |
