This report seeks the approval of the Executive Member for Sustainable

Communities – Services for the installation of a zebra crossing on a

raised table and amendments of the existing waiting restrictions on

Bird’s Hill, Heath and Reach following the receipt of objections.

Residents’ Petition and letters of support for a Residents Parking Scheme in Church Street & Segenhoe Close, Ridgmont. pdf icon PDF 1 MB

The report provides Traffic Management Committee with details relating

to a request made by the residents of Church Street and Segenhoe

Close, supported by Ridgmont Parish Council to introduce a residents

parking scheme. The report seeks the approval of The Executive

Member for Sustainable Communities – Services to consider including

the request within the forward programme of traffic management

(parking) schemes for future funding and implementation.

Decision:

That following consideration of the matters advised within the report, that permission be granted to include a residents parking scheme in Church Street & Segenhoe Close, Ridgmont and the addition of double yellow lines around the junction of Church Street and the High Street, within the forward programme of traffic management (parking) schemes for future funding and implementation.

The purpose of this report is to re-consider a petition submitted by traders in Hitchin Street Biggleswade seeking reversal of the existing one way traffic order between Market Square and Mill Lane.

Downs Road area, Dunstable - Objections and other Representations on Proposed Traffic Regulation Orders pdf icon PDF 4 MB

To report to the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities Services on representations received following the publication of proposals to introduce Traffic Regulation Orders in the Downs Road area of Dunstable and to seek the Executive Member’s decision on whether to proceed with the implementation of them.

Decision:

Having taken all the matters referred to in the Report and the oral representations made at the meeting into consideration; reviewed the concerns raised and the extent of the Orders proposed, on balance, the decision is to implement a limited traffic management scheme that is:

1.            on Downs Road – to implement the one way order from Allen Close to Great Northern Road.

2.            on Downs Road and Barton Avenue – not to implement this prohibition and to monitor the impact.

3.            on Park Road – not to implement the one way order from Great Northern Road to Grove Road and leave this two way.

In addition, parking restrictions on a 30m stretch (the bend) on Park Road will be considered and will be consulted upon at the same time as the parking restrictions for Howard Place.
