This report seeks the approval of the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services for the installation of raised tables in High Street, Arlesey.

Decision:

That the proposals to install Raised Tables with red imprint be implemented as published.

Various Roads, Dunstable and Houghton Regis - Consider Objections to Proposed Waiting Restrictions relating to Bus Route Improvements pdf icon PDF 2 MB

This report seeks the approval of the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services for the introduction of Waiting Restrictions in Various Roads in Dunstable and Houghton Regis required as a result of bus route improvements following the publication of proposals and receipt of objections.

Decision:

That the proposals to introduce Waiting Restrictions in Various Road in Dunstable and Houghton Regis be agreed as advertised, with the exception of the proposals relating to Westfield Road which could be shortened to allow parking outside St. Fremund’s Church.

Houghton Regis – Consider an Objection to a Proposed Raised Zebra Crossing and two raised uncontrolled crossings In Parkside Drive and consider objections to a proposed Contraflow Cycle lane in Easthill Road pdf icon PDF 5 MB

This report seeks the approval of the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services for the installation of a raised zebra crossing and two raised uncontrolled crossings on Parkside Drive and for the implementation of the proposed cycle contraflow on Easthill Road, Houghton Regis.

Decision:

That the proposals to install a Raised Zebra Crossing and two Raised Table Uncontrolled Crossings with red imprint on Parkside Drive and the proposed Contraflow Cycle lane in Easthill Road be agreed as advertised apart from the addition of a green high friction surface cycle lane, with white lines around the outside, along Easthill Road to further highlight the route to motorists.

Various Roads in Dunstable and Houghton Regis - Consider Objections to Proposed Waiting Restrictions pdf icon PDF 2 MB

This report seeks the approval of the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services for the introduction of waiting restrictions in Various Roads in Dunstable and Houghton Regis following the publication of proposals.

Decision:

That the proposals to introduce waiting restrictions in Dunstable and Houghton Regis be agreed as advertised, with the following exceptions:-

a)           the proposed removal of the loading bay in Edward Street, Dunstable be withdrawn.

b)           the proposed no waiting in Hillborough Crescent, Houghton Regis be withdrawn and not be implemented unless alternative parking provision can be identified.

c)            the proposed double yellow lines in Park Road not be implemented.

d)           the proposed waiting restrictions in Brewers Hill Road / Drovers Way, Dunstable be implemented only at the Weatherfield School entrance or with school keep clear markings.

e)           The proposal for Tithe Farm Road, Houghton Regis be agreed as advertised for the no stopping Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm on school entrance marking (indicated by green lines on the map included in the report) only.  Officers are asked to consider the disused bus turning area for additional parking.

Various Locations in Central Bedfordshire -Consider Objections to Proposed Disabled Parking Spaces pdf icon PDF 2 MB

This report seeks the approval of the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services for the introduction of disabled parking space at various locations in Central Bedfordshire following the publication of proposals.

Decision:

That the proposals to introduce disabled parking spaces at various locations in the South of Central Bedfordshire be approved as advertised, with the following exceptions:-

a)     the proposed disabled space in Cantilupe Close, Eaton Bray be withdrawn.

b)     the proposed disabled space in Park Street, Dunstable not be implemented.  A new / revised application will be considered should circumstances change.

c)      the proposed disabled space in Church Mead, Studham not be implemented.

Capron Road and Olma Road, Dunstable - To consider objections to proposed parking controls pdf icon PDF 2 MB

To report to the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services the receipt of objections following publication of proposals relating to on-street parking restrictions in Capron Road and Olma Road, Dunstable.

Decision:

  1. that the proposed footway parking scheme, including complimentary no waiting at any time, be agreed as advertised and include the formalising of the ambulance parking bay.
  2. that the proposed residents permit parking scheme not be implemented.

Langdale Road shops lay-by and Hillyfields area, Dunstable - To consider objections to proposed parking controls pdf icon PDF 1 MB

To report to the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services the receipt of objections following publication of proposals relating to on-street parking restrictions in the vicinity of the Langdale Road shops lay-by and in the Hillyfields area, Dunstable.

Decision:

That the parking restriction proposals be agreed as advertised in both the Langdale Road shops lay-by area and Hillyfields area, Dunstable.

Ivel Road, Shefford – Consider an Objection to Proposed Raised Tables and Traffic Calming Build-out pdf icon PDF 706 KB

This report seeks the approval of the Executive Member for Sustainable Communities – Services for the installation of raised tables and a traffic calming build-out in Ivel Road, Shefford.

Decision:

that the proposals to install Raised Tables and a Traffic Calming Build-out be implemented as published.  Officers are asked to speak to the Developer to see if they would agree to pay for red imprint on the raised tables as funding is from a Section 278 agreement.
