To note the receipt of the petition and to discuss a way forward.

 

Decision:

1.    That the petition be noted.

2.    That the proposal to extend the double yellow line waiting restrictions along the Eastern side of The Pyghtle be accepted.

3.    That the lead petitioner be notified of the outcome of this meeting.

Hockliffe Road, Leighton Buzzard - Petition to Implement Residents Only Parking Restrictions pdf icon PDF 227 KB

To note the receipt of the petition and to discuss a way forward.

 

Decision:

1.    That the petition be noted.

2.    That the request to implement ‘Residents Only’ parking restriction scheme be rejected at this time.

3.    That Officers work with the local veterinary clinic to improve signage to their car park and incentivise employees to utilise the car park.

4.    That Officers review the parking on Hockliffe Road within one meeting cycle and if appropriate a ‘resident permits only’ parking restriction scheme be reconsidered by the Traffic Management Meeting.

5.    That the lead petitioner be informed of the outcome of this meeting.

Clifton Road, Dunstable - To Recommend an Interim Solution Pending the Results from the Dunstable Parking Strategy pdf icon PDF 3 MB

To seek approval to undertake a road marking review of Clifton Road, Dunstable and install parking bays.

Decision:

That the installation of parking bays and a ‘resident permits only’ parking restriction scheme be implemented in Clifton Road, Dunstable.

Graham Road, Dunstable - Proposal to Install No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions pdf icon PDF 422 KB

To seek approval to install No Waiting at Any Time at the junction with Graham Road and Oakwood Avenue, Dunstable.

Decision:

1.    That the proposal to introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Dunstable be implemented as advertised:

-       Oakwood Avenue, southeast side, from a point in line with the western boundary of Nos. 78/80 Oakwood Avenue, extending in a westerly direction and around the junction for approximately 15.7m into Graham road, tying in with the outside of the northern boundary of Nos. 78/80 Oakwood Avenue.

-       Oakwood Avenue, southeast side, from a point in line with the eastern boundary of nos. 70/72 Oakwood Avenue, extending in a westerly direction and around the junction for approximately 24.5m into Graham road, tying in with the opposite of the northern boundary of Nos. 78/80 Oakwood Avenue.

2.    That Officers ensure that the correct enforcement and education of local residents takes place.

West Street, Dunstable - To Install a Raised Feature in West Street Dunstable. pdf icon PDF 781 KB

To seek approval to install a raised feature in West Street Dunstable, at the junction with Princes Street and Icknield Street.

Decision:

1.    That a raised junction at a nominal height of 75mm, approximately 15 metres long and extending approximately 5 metres into Princes Street and 7 metres into Icknield Street, including ramps, extending across the full width of the road is implement as advertised at the following location in Dunstable:-

-       West Street, at its junction with Princes Street and Icknield Street.

2.    That Officers review the impact of the raised junction six months after its implementation and if appropriate produce a proposal to introduce a junction box with yellow hatching and keep clear signs on the raised table.

To seek approval for the implementation of a zebra crossing in Appenine Way, Leighton Buzzard.

Decision:

That the proposal to implement a raised Zebra Crossing at a nominal height of 75mm and approximately 8 metres long, including ramps, extending across the full width of the road be implemented as advertised at the following location:

-       Appenine Way, at a point approximately 35 metres west of its junction with Meadway.

Clayhall Road, Kensworth - Proposal to Implement a 40mph Buffer, No Waiting Restrictions and Traffic Calming Features. pdf icon PDF 1 MB

To seek approval to implement a 40mph buffer, No Waiting Restrictions and approve traffic calming features for Clayhall Road, Kensworth.

Decision:

1.    That the proposal to introduce a 40mph Speed Limit be implemented on the following lengths of Road in Kensworth as advertised:-

-       Clay Hall Road, from a point approximately 200 metres south from its junction with Lynch Hill extending in a southerly direction for approximately 100 metres.

2.    That the proposal to implement Speed Humps at a nominal height of 75mm be sited at the following location in Kensworth as advertised:-

-       Clay Hall Road, at a point approximately 60 metres, south of its junction with Lynch Hill.

-       Clay Hall Road, at a point approximately 180 metres, south of its junction with Lynch Hill.

3.    That the proposal to introduce No Waiting at any time, on the following length of roads in Kensworth be implemented as advertised:-

-       Clay Hall Road, both sides, from its junction with Lynch Hill extending approximately 15 metres in a southerly direction.

4.    That once implemented Officers investigate the appropriateness of the extension of the 40mph speed limit.

5.    That CBC ward members consult with Kensworth Parish Council on submitting a Rural Match Fund application to allow for the traffic calming features to be implemented on Clay Hall Road, Kensworth sooner.

Temple Way, Flitwick - Proposals to Implement a 20mph Limit, Traffic Calming Features and Waiting Restrictions in Temple Way. pdf icon PDF 1 MB

To seek approval for the implementation of a 20mph limit, Zebra crossing and waiting restrictions as advertised.

Decision:

1.    That the proposal to introduce a 20mph Speed Limit on the following length of roads in Flitwick be implemented as advertised:

-       Temple Way, from its junction with Dunstable Road extending in a westerly direction for approximately 323 metres.

2.    That the proposal to implement Raised Tables at a nominal height of 75mm and approximately 8 metres long, including ramps, extending across the full width of the road is sited at the following location in Flitwick as advertised:

-       Temple Way, at a point approximately 95 metres west of its junction with Dunstable Road.

-       Temple Way, at a point approximately 242 metres west of its junction with Dunstable Road.

3.    That a humped Zebra Crossing at a nominal height of 75mm and approximately 8 metres long, including ramps, extending across the full width of the road is sited at the following location in Flitwick as advertised:

-       Temple Way, at a point approximately 165 metres west of its junction with Dunstable Road.

4.    That the proposal to introduce No Waiting at any time on Temple Way Flitwick be implemented as advertised.

5.    That the proposal to introduce No Stopping on the School Entrance Markings on Temple Way, Flitwick be implemented as advertised.

6.    That the proposal to introduce No Stopping except for buses ‘Clearway Order on Bus Stops’ on Temple Way, Flitwick be implemented as advertised.

7.    That the proposal to introduce 30mins Limited Waiting with No Return within 2 hours from Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm on Temple Way, Flitwick be implemented as advertised.

8.    That Officers produce a proposal to develop a holistic scheme for the remaining part of Temple Way, which are experiencing commuter parking pressures.
