Project 1

 

The report proposes the granting of NHS Campus Closure finance to BPHA to build flats for People with Learning Disabilities in Bedford.

 

Decision:

1.                  that a grant of £500,000 from the NHS Campus Closure Capital grant held by Central Bedfordshire Council for the purpose of refurbishing accommodation for up to 6 people with Learning Disabilities as part of the NHS Campus Closure Programme, be approved.

 

2.                  that completion of the s257 agreements between Bedford Borough Council and the Registered Social Landlord to enable the transfer of funding to the Housing Association, be approved, subject to final signoff of the financial commitments on behalf of Bedford Borough Council.

Project 2

 

The report proposes the granting of NHS Campus Closure finance to BPHA to refurbish a care home for People with Learning Disabilities in Oakley.

 

Decision:

1.                  that a grant of £60,000 from the NHS Campus Closure Capital grant held by Central Bedfordshire Council for the purpose of refurbishing accommodation for up to 6 people with Learning Disabilities as part of the NHS Campus Closure Programme, be approved.

 

2.                  that completion of the s257 agreements between Bedford Borough Council and the Registered Social Landlord to enable the transfer of funding to the Housing Association, be approved, subject to final signoff of the financial commitments on behalf of Bedford Borough Council.

Project 3

 

The report proposes the granting of NHS Campus Closure finance to BPHA to refurbish a care home for People with Learning Disabilities in Luton.

 

Decision:

1.                  that a grant of £50,000 from the NHS Campus Closure Capital grant held by Central Bedfordshire Council for the purpose of refurbishing accommodation for up to 6 people with Learning Disabilities as part of the NHS Campus Closure Programme, be approved retrospectively.

 

2.                  that completion of the s257 agreements between Luton Borough and the Registered Social Landlord, to enable the transfer of funding to the Housing Association, be approved, subject to final signoff of the financial commitments on behalf of Luton Borough.

Project 4

 

The report proposes the granting of NHS Campus Closure finance to BPHA to refurbish two existing properties in Bedford.

 

Decision:

1.                  that the recommendations of the Leadership Advisory Group to set aside a sum of £47,000 to be used for small adjustments/alterations to existing projects, be approved.

 

2.                  that  a grant of £23,000 from the NHS Campus Closure Capital grant held by Central Bedfordshire Council for the purpose of refurbishing accommodation for up to 8 people with Learning Disabilities as part of the NHS Campus Closure Programme, be approved.

 

3.                  that completion of the s257 agreements between Bedford Borough Council and the Registered Social Landlord to enable the transfer of funding to the Housing Association, be approved.

Project 5

 

The report proposes the granting of NHS Campus Closure finance to Aragon Housing Association to buy and refurbish an existing building into flats for People with Learning Disabilities in Dunstable.

 

Decision:

1.                  that a grant of £1,060,000 from the NHS Campus Closure Capital grant held by Central Bedfordshire Council for the purpose of refurbishing flats and a house for up to thirteen people with Learning Disabilities as part of the NHS Campus Closure Programme, be approved.

 

2.                  that completion of the s257 agreements between Central Bedfordshire Council and the Registered Social Landlord to enable the transfer of funding to the Housing Association, be approved.

Project 6

 

The report proposes the granting of NHS Campus Closure finance to Aragon Housing Association to refurbish an existing building into flats for People with Learning Disabilities in South Bedfordshire.

 

Decision:

that the proposed scheme be withdrawn from consideration due to inability to meet regulatory requirements.
