The purpose of the report is to approve the eight draft conservation area appraisals following consultations with Ward Councillors and the public.

That the eight conservation area appraisals produced in the conservation area reviews undertaken in 2009 – 2010 be approved as follows:

(a)         Eggington conservation area consultation be approved as set out;

(b)         Linslade conservation area consultation be approved as set out and consideration be given to a proposed new Article 4 Direction for the area;

(c)         Streatley conservation area consultation be approved as set out;

(d)         Millbrook conservation area consulation be approved as set out;

(e)         Toddington conseration area consultation be approved as set out and a review of the proposed extension to the conservation area be carried out along with the proposed review of the existing Article 4 Direction.

(f)           Heath and Reach conservation area consultation be approved as set out;

(g)         Barton-le-Clay conservation area consultation with the addition of proposals 1 and 3 on east side of Bedford Road be approved;

(h)         Shefford conservation area consultation be approved as set out.

The Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Development has endorsed the preparation of a report to Executive for a new rolling programme of conservation area reviews.
