Public Health Concern Recycling Operations Totternhoe

We the undersigned petition the council to With more public information available regarding the potential toxicity to people and the environment of globally sourced plasterboard also known as dry wall flooding the construction industry from outside of the European Union. Great concern is growing with the residents of Totternhoe about the volumes of plasterboard recycling and the extraction of Gypsum occurring at the original limes works facility. With noted multiple daily deliveries of foreign number plated heavy vehicles including shipping containers, what is the risk of such materials sourced outside of the controls of the European Union manufacturing standards finding its way into the waste recycling industry into the recycling site in Totternhoe. Every business has a right to trade however we ask if this site is a suitable location with its close proximity to residential areas and its position backing onto farm land, national park and conservation area that such an operation that generates so much dust in the area and also
