To stop the amount of HGV vehicles that are using the route from the A5 Hockliffe Road Junction as a cut through to Grovebury Road Industrial Estate.
There are a number of local companies that are doing this. Also, as well as commercial companies, the route is not suitable for such vehicles, especially from Hockliffe Street to Grovebury Road, when we have the Leighton Buzzard by-pass which is connected to the A5 and goes straight to the industrial estate. Also a concern is the speed these vehicles travel at, which is a very serious safety concern to the safety of the general public and damage to roads ie the junction of Grovebury Road.
As residents of Hockliffe Road, we feel there is no reason why these vehicles cannot be re-routed via the by-pass.
