To approve the proposed change of designation to Church End Lower School, Marston Moretaine, from a foundation school to a voluntary controlled school via the closure of Church End Lower School and the establishment of Marston Moreteyne Church of England VC School, should responses to the statutory consultation not be favourable and therefore determination cannot be made by the Executive Member for Families, Education & Children. Consultation process
A preliminary consultation was carried out by Church End Lower School during November/December 2017 and a joint statutory consultation was carried out by the school and the Diocese of St Albans Board of Education during January/February 2019. Consultees include the staff and parents of children within the school, CBC ward members, all other schools within Central Bedfordshire, the local MP, Marston Moreteyne Parish Council, neighbouring local authorities and the general public.
